Elisa Hernandez
Licensed Associate Marriage & Family Therapist, MAS-MFT, LAMFT

Hi! I am Elisa and I am so happy you are here!

We all come from unique backgrounds and experiences that shape how we show up in our relationships and how we process life challenges.

I believe that clients are the experts of their own lives and I am here to walk alongside them as we explore current or past difficult transitions and the strengths that are already present within them.

I take the time to get to know my clients and create a safe space for them. I love working with people who want to learn how to connect better with others, work through unresolved trauma, address and heal from relationship injuries, and figure out their place in the world.

La Mira was created with my family and culture in mind. While it is the name of the town my family originates from it also translates as “to see” or “to look”  which is what happens in the therapy room as we carefully peel back all the layers that built us into who we are. To be able to look and reflect deeply on our lives and still hold every part of us with acceptance and kindness is what makes healing occur. I know what it’s like to struggle with juggling too much, feeling responsible for everyone, and that the only way to do it is on your own. In our work together we will take a “look” at all the pieces of your life that may be tough to hold and we will figure out a way to heal and move forward.
